The previous
edition, Advanced SystemCare Ultimate 6$19.95 at Amazon, had two very different UI styles. In
Simplified Mode, the main window displayed one big button for virus scan on the
Antivirus page and one big button to launch "Smart Scan" optimization
on the Care page. Version 7 has dropped the Simplified Mode, so it's always in
the everything-visible Expert Mode. This version retains the option to choose
from built-in and user-submitted "skins" that change the UI's
appearance.ight after installing Advanced SystemCare, you need to dig into the
settings page and enable all the product's protective features. If it were up
to me, all security features would be enabled by default. As it is, you have to
turn on Full Detection and Real-Time Protector in the settings, and you also
have to turn on "Security Defense" and "Vulnerability Fix"
on the Care page. But wait, you're not finished. On the Toolbox page
you'll find IObit Malware Fighter in the Security section. Click that link to
activate this additional security tool. Note that IObit Malware Fighter will
always indicate that you're not fully protected unless you shell out more bucks
to purchase the Pro edition. That's three different places you have to know and
bother to got to get the security running at full strength. Will the average
user find all three? I doubt it.
